We Were Once Fairytales by Spike Jonze

Here's the now infamous short film by Where the Wild Things Are director, Spike Jonze, starring Kanye West. Its worth a chuckle here and there, atleast AT Kanye's awkward portrayal of his drunk self at a club. I must say, the surprise ending is what ties this whole thing together for me. Check it out

having trouble embedding so heres the LINK

NEW Sony EXR

the successor to the EX1 was announced, THE EX1-R. Apparently with changes that come solely from customer feedback. From the photos it seems they changed the hand strap and a couple button placements, in terms of ergonomic changes. There's an updated CMOS processor as well and the EX1-R will feature the ability to use the new SXS-1 cards a reliable and more affordable option to the rather pricey SXS PRO cards.

5D in a Beta Cam Body!

An Australian company has built a camera by rigging a 5D mark II to an old BetaCam body. This is sorta incredible....sorta.

Canon 1D Mark IV

Well hello there. Canon releases is 1D Mark IV and from what I've seen the video looks superb. It shoulds 1080p at a variety of framerates, most importantly 24/25. It aslo features a programmable button to enable quick movie shooting, allowing you to record HD video instantly at the touch of a button.

I'd post a video taken with this camera but its set to private on vimeo.. nevertheless, here's a link to it on DVICE

More from the party

One thing I must say is I wish we prepared more than 50 gift bags cuz we had a lot of people asking for them who didn't receive anything. I guess we didn't expect all the love! Thanks to the Grooming Lounge, the Stop Modern Slavery charity, DJ Fabiana, DJ Inferno, Crash Boom Bang, and The Washington Design Center for donating items for the bags.

The 8112 Showcase Event @ The Reserve was a great success!

Thank you to everyone who came out to our event last night. Thank you to The Reserve for being such great hosts and a great venue. I hope everyone got a chance to pick up some information about human trafficking and the Stop Modern Slavery organization.

We will see you all at our next event!

DJ hero ad

This is very cool and creative, but its one of those ads that doesn't really have much to do with the gameplay itself, if anything. So i guess i'm looking forward to the game?

D3 Details released

Nikon's awaited D3 details coming from the British Journal of Photography indicate that the D3 will not have 1080p video! It mentions only 720p/24 video. This is quite a fault in my opinion seeing the direction the DSLR industry is going. What's Nikon's deal??

Great 5d clip

I didn't expect something this fun and engaging when reading the title, so this was a great little surpise! What a fun video! I really love the angles and fast pacing of this.

Free 3D animations anybody can make!

xtranormal is company that has designed a user friendly way that anyone can make customized 3D animated scenes, with text to voice capabilities. So no voice actors needed, all you have to do is type what you want to say. They've designed a need little piece of software to help build your scene and move the 3D characters within their environment and change camera angles, etc. All this seemed dandy and a ton of fun until you realize its for Windows only. Wamp wamp, bummer.

Anyway, its still pretty neat, and I can see a big future for apps like this, and I hear its being used it schools to allow students to make skits and for psychology classes. Just gotta get mac people involved. WHAT ARE YOU THINKING!?
