No Compromise video (just like guitar hero/rockband!)

Drawing influence from Guitar Hero/Rockband video games, here is the video we shot for No Compromise. Shot in one take, on a limited budget, and with limited time, it turned out great in the end. The band is really cool, but the best part is that the song is awesome on its own. Hopefully our video can help it get out there more!

Eat your Heart out Haley Joel Osment

Yesterday BBC reported on a new emotionally expressive robot puppet. Creator Dave McGoran of The University of the West of England took his puppet on a tour to show kids and ends with a creepy as hell robot on robot encounter. Hit the jump to watch the video.

What are you smokin' Hitachi?!

Hitachi recently released this 70s style education cartoon to explain what a terabyte is and usher in the "Tera Era."

*note - this cartoon is ridiculously trippy. I have no clue who their target audience was supposed to be.

Need stock footage?

Pond5 just released their new online marketplace for instantly downloadable stock footage. From the artist's perspective its great because you can set the price for your footage and you get 50% on sales, which is the highest in the industry.

You can customize the widget that you see every time you login, as to what preview clips show up, whether it be, most recent, curator's choice, searched items, etc. And whenever you view a clip all the information is right there for you, resolution, duration, frame rate, codec, file size. Even where it was shot and on what equipment.

We've built up quite a bit of stock footage ourselves, maybe we'll upload some. :)

8112 @ the Playboy Mansion

So we finally made it to the playboy mansion which we've been meaning to do for a while now. We attended a charity event at the mansion by the karma foundation called "Kandy Land" where there was a Willy Wonka theme. Yes, there were oompa loompas! Not to mention 1,000 "kandy girls" and playmates.

8112 digs kinetic sculpture, and Beemers too.

Kinetic art is art that contains moving parts or use motion for its effect. Here's a great example from a company that has a long history of making "art in motion", BMW.

This is in the new BMW museum in Munich:
